Weekly Message: December 18

Our winter break is upon us and we hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends.    We spent a few minutes every morning with the entire school singing Carols in the gym. We made  a special art project for our families this week. Maybe you can decide whether you open it now or save it for a special celebration in the coming week.  Our gifts are very fragile, so handle them with care.      Our learning from this week:   Math:   We have continued patterning and worked on  making patterns with a variety of mediums. The students made wrapping paper using patterns for their special family gift.      Literacy :   We have learned letters Aa, Mm, Ss and Tt. We are beginning to learn about VC (vowel-consonant words) We will be working toward making some CVC words (consonant-vowel-consonant) in the New Year. A blue at home practice folder was sent home this week. Please take a look and keep the folder at home with you...
